Fishing the Amazon region for peacock bass and other exotic fish species has become a very popular for avid anglers in the past few years. Peru is a great place to consider for these fish and Amazon Expeditions can now confidently offer trip packages design specifically for adventurous anglers thanks to Drew Gregory and his team.
In June of 2009 Amazon Expeditions lead a 7 day expedition headed up by renowned pro kayak angler Drew Gregory. Drew Gregory, John Japuntich, Robert Cobb, Mike Dickerman and the Palo Verde Lodge guide staff forged their way
through the dense jungle covering over 50 square miles of river tributaries and oxbow lakes in a whirl wind expedition which yielded great success. The purpose of this expedition was to explore the vast jungle tributaries and oxbow lakes surrounding Palo Verde Lodge to determine the best locations to offer our Adventure Angler program.
As a result of the expedition Palo Verde Lodge is now offering specialized peacock bass fishing packages which focus on 4 key area lakes and tributaries surrounding in our area. Our Advenure Angler package is now offered seasonally from July through November each year and can tailered as an add-on to any of our existing tour packages.
